Before you start the Cape Breton Life Scavenger Hunt, make sure your team is ready.

START DATE: JULY 19, 2026

Before the Hunt

• Create your team name

• Register with a valid email address

• Form your team (1–4 players)

• Review the rules and scoring system

• Download or view the hunt map and clues

What to Bring

• Charged cell phone

• Internet access or mobile data

• Map and clues

• Notebook and pen (optional)

• Cape Breton Life gear (for bonus selfie points)

At Each Location

• Use the map and clue to find the stop

• Search the highlighted area for the QR code

• Scan the QR code

• Log your find online

• Take a bonus selfie (optional points)

• Continue to the next stop

Bonus Point Opportunities

• Take a selfie at the location (+5 points)

• Wear Cape Breton Life gear in the selfie (+10 points)

• Complete all 20 stops (+20 point bonus)

• Take advantage of Double Points on Day 3

Before the Hunt Ends

• Confirm all finds were successfully logged

• Ensure your team completed at least 10 stops to qualify for sponsor prize draws

• Double-check your submissions before the deadline

After the Hunt

• Watch the live winner announcement on Facebook

• Check CapeBretonLife.ca for final scores

• Claim prizes within 14 days
