SCAVENGER HUNT
The Annual CBRM Scavenger Hunt is a FREE, week-long, city-wide search-and-recovery operation across the Cape Breton Regional Municipality. Teams will deploy into two designated search zones to physically locate and recover valuable hidden targets and treasure throughout the CBRM. Each target contains a unique QR code that must be scanned to officially verify the find. No complicated scoring systems or bonus points — one verified target equals one find. Study the intel, search the zones, recover the targets, and compete to secure the most verified finds.
ZONE A - SYDNEY WATERFRONT
SEARCH ZONE A | 20 TARGETS
The Sydney Waterfront has been designated as Search Zone A.
20 targets will be concealed throughout the defined zone. Possible locations include waterfront areas, boardwalks, parks, landmarks, public gathering areas, trails, walkways, public art and other approved locations.
Teams will receive specific search areas and additional intel as the hunt gets closer.

ZONE B - NORTH SYDNEY
SEARCH ZONE B | 20 TARGETS
The Heart of North Sydney has been designated as Search Zone B.
20 targets will be concealed throughout the defined zone. Possible locations include parks, public spaces, landmarks, trails, waterfront areas, gathering areas, public features and other approved locations.
Teams will receive specific search areas and additional intel as the hunt gets closer.

THE BLACKSITE - CLASSIFIED
FINAL TARGET | CLASSIFIED
The hunt ends at the BLACKSITE.
One final target. One high-value objective. The Blacksite contains the most valuable prize of the hunt.
Before the final phase begins, a CARE PACKAGE will be deployed marked with colored smoke. Teams must locate and secure the package to obtain the Blacksite Intelligence needed to begin the search.
Inside: the intelligence, clues, and everything required to locate the final target.
Teams will receive a 500-foot search radius, a primary clue, and a close-up photograph of the target area.
